SBBN Recognition Event

Staffordshire Black Business Network (SBBN), Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, and Keele Business School came together to recognise and celebrate the contributions of Black Business Directors and CEOs to the region and economy on the 10th of October 2024. 

The was attended by over 40 delegates from the business community as well as the Newcastle-under-Lyme MP, Adam Jogee, the Stoke-on-Trent South MP, Dr Allison Gardner, the Stoke-on-Trent North MP, David Williams,
the Tamworth MP, Sarah Edwards, the Chief Executive Officer of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Rachel Laver, and the Vice Chancellor of Keele University, Professor Trevor McMillan OBE FRCR FRSB.

 

Dr Tolu Olarewaju presented his research on business resilience, and there were business showcases by Agbor Empire, ASK Equip/We talk Care, and CheckCarbonFact. Keele University Business Society was also on hand to help with organising the event. 

 

Awards were given to Staffordshire based businesses for their outstanding achievements and contributions to regional prosperity. Some pictures from the event are below.
